CK POOLS LEAK DETECTION TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms outline the rules and conditions governing the use of our services provided by our company. By using our pool leak detection services you the customer and or representing client agree to these terms.
Service Description
Our pool leak detection services aim to identify and locate leaks in swimming pools and related equipment. We utilize various techniques and equipment to identify and assess leaks, including but not limited to diving, pressure testing, static testing, dye testing, video camera inspection, electronic listening and electronic scanning. Leak Detection Service does not include all forms of residential swimming pools. CK Pools reserves the right to not provide service based on any information collected during the request process.
*Confirmation, Access and Preparation*
Your Leak Detection Service is not confirmed until a 50% deposit of the quoted amount is paid. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information leading up to the leak detection. Service is scheduled for the ‘day of’ during business operating hours of 8am - 4pm. You are responsible for ensuring our team has unrestricted access to the backyard, pool and pool equipment for the scheduled service day. Failure to provide access may result in additional charges or an incomplete assessment. You acknowledge that upon confirming leak detection services your pool will be clean and properly chemically balanced prior to services arrival. Additionally the filtration system will be clean including baskets and filters. The pools surface, walls and floor will be free from debris. You will maintain a minimum water temperature of 72 degree Fahrenheit or higher for the scheduled service day.
- Leak Detection cannot be performed in the rain.
- Pool water level must be at normal operating height.
- The Pools surface, floor and walls must be free of debris. All baskets cleared before arrival.
- Leak Detection cannot be performed with green or cloudy water. Water must be clear.
- Water Temperature 72 degrees or higher. Inform us if that is not possible due to water loss.
- Leak Detection requires a quiet undisturbed working environment. Many of the techniques are audio cues.
No other workers arranged to be on property during the leak detection.
- Pets kept inside, pet waste removed before arrival.
- Photos of the pool in its current condition are required to provide a quotation and confirm leak detection is possible.
- Unobstructed access to the backyard and pool equipment is required for the provided leak detection day.
- Leak Detections that surpass the allotted quoted time are billed at $150 per hour.
*Scope of Work*
Our services cover the detection and assessment of leaks in swimming pools, pool plumbing, pool equipment, and associated structures. CK Pools offers limited repair services, if a leak repair is applicable we will provide a quote. In most situations CK Pools will refer a qualified repair professional.
- If a main drain is found to be compromised. It will be plugged and sealed when applicable with technicians discretion.
No locate will take place.
- Black Polyethene Pipe uses fittings underground that significantly reduce the pipes diameter hindering many of the leak detection
techniques. CK Pools will make every effort to be thorough when this pipe is found. The client acknowledges the difficulty it poses during the
leak detection process which may result in inclusive results or extra time to locate the leak.
- While CK Pools utilizes non invasive tools and techniques the process of leak detection in underground plumbing creates a small possibility the
leak will be more dramatic post assessment.
- CK Pools will utilize tools and techniques at their discretion to be thorough and accurate. Due to many factors Leak Location is not always
guaranteed including but not limited to; clients property, size of leak, depth of leak, soil and substrate surrounding leak, presences of multiple
leaks, discovery of prior repairs.
- When a leak in underground plumbing is exposed it may be important to perform an additional pressure test from that access point in either
direction before making the repair. This additional visit and test is not included in the quotation for Leak Detection.
- All aboveground plumbing to be in good working order. Leak Detection does not include repair to aboveground plumbing. If CK Pools needs to
alter aboveground plumbing to conduct the leak detection it will be done at the clients expense. Not included in the provided quotation.
- Solar Panels of any kind are not part of the quoted leak detection and are not serviced by CK Pools.
- If a blockage is found in underground plumbing CK Pools will report to the client and may be able to offer removal at an additional expense.
- CK Pools offers immediate temporary repairs for vinyl cuts, punctures and seam separations if applicable. Vinyl Patches in Inground, Onground or Aboveground Vinyl Pools are considered temporary repairs. They are not guaranteed to hold for any length of time and can be revisited if
needed at the clients expense.
- CK Pools offers immediate temporary repair to applicable cracks or breaks; skimmer bucket, jet body threads, faceplates, light niches if
applicable. Not included in provided quotation. Epoxy Repairs are considered temporary repairs. They are not
guaranteed to hold for any length of time and can be revisited if needed at the clients expense.
- Due to the nature of Aboveground Pool installations, vinyl patches may not be applicable and are not guaranteed to hold for any length of time.
- Leak Detection cannot determine the cause of cuts, punctures, leaks, breaks or cracks.
- If catastrophic damage is determined by CK Pools to the vinyl liner, structure or plumbing system it will be relayed to the client. CK Pools
may end the Leak Detection Assessment at that time.
Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive for accuracy, it is important to note that pool leak detection is a complex process, and our results are subject to certain limitations. We will use our best efforts and professional expertise to identify leaks accurately, but there may be instances where leaks are not detectable or our findings are inconclusive. Factors such as weather conditions, soil conditions, multiple leaks in one line or very large leaks may affect the accuracy of our results.
Fees and Payment
Your Leak Detection Service is not confirmed until a 50% deposit of the quoted amount is paid.
Leak Detections are quoted with time allotted, outlined in received quotation. If additional time is required due to certain complexities of that specific leak detection $150 per hour will be billed to continue. Complexities include but are not limited to, size of pool, number of return and suction lines to be tested and leaks located, number of vinyl punctures to be found and addressed, pool equipment in a state that is not acceptable for leak detection, additional water features requiring testing and leaks locate. Our fees for pool leak detection services will be communicated to you during the request process or as otherwise agreed upon. Full payment for our services is due upon completion of the assessment unless otherwise specified in writing. We accept various forms of payment including credit card and Electronic Transfer as specified by our company. Any additional charges or expenses incurred during the assessment will be communicated to you before the completion of the service if possible.
Confidentiality and Privacy
We understand and respect the importance of confidentiality and privacy. We will treat all information and data collected during the assessment as confidential and will not disclose it to any third party unless required by law or with your explicit consent. We may collect certain personal information for the purpose of providing our services, and we will handle and protect it in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. CK Pools shares photos and videos from job sites for advertising and training purposes.
Liability and Identification
You acknowledge and agree that our pool leak detection services are provided "as is" without any warranties or guarantees. We shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising out of or in connection with the use of our services, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of our services.
Termination & Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse our services for any reason, including but not limited to, scope of work, non-payment, failure to provide access, or violation of these terms. Upon termination, you are responsible for any outstanding fees or charges incurred up to the termination date.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ontario, Canada.
