LEAK DETECTION PROCESS

 
​Body Of Water

• Electronic Scan of Vinyl Pools, pin holes to large cuts will be found. 
• Diver inspection; Skimmers, Stair gaskets, faceplates, jet bodies, light niches, main drains, and vinyl repair.
• Service does not include hot tubs or spillover spas. 

 All drop in steps or ladders removed prior to service.  When possible provide a portion of vinyl from the original install for service to use for repair. Service will try to match as close to your liner when possible. Vinyl scan and repair does not include popping liners into the coping track.

Underground Plumbing 

• Water Pressure and or Static Test of applicable suction and return plumbing lines 
• Locate leak in a failed plumbing line
• Video Camera Inspection when applicable
• Service does not include Hot Tubs or Spillover Spas

Equipment pad plumbing may need to be cut to gain access to a plumbing line. Waterfall lines cannot be tested if the plumbing line is not accessible. CK Pools uses non destructive repair methods for underground pipe breaks when applicable, to be quoted. If a leak can only be repaired by the removal of earth, stone or concrete CK Pools will refer a company that specializes in these types of repairs.

What you need to know before your Leak Detection Service?
   - Leak Detection cannot be performed in the rain.
   - Pool water level must be at normal operating height. Inform us if that is not possible due to water loss. 
   - The Pools surface, floor and walls must be near free of debris. All baskets cleared before arrival. 
   - Leak Detection cannot be performed with green or cloudy water. Water must be clear.
   - Water Temperature 75 degrees or higher. Inform us if that is not possible due to water loss. 
   - Leak Detection requires a quiet undisturbed working environment. Many of the techniques are audio cues.
     No other workers arranged to be on property during the leak detection. 
   - Pets kept inside, pet waste removed before arrival.
   - Photos of the pool in its current condition are required to provide a quotation and confirm leak detection is possible.  
   - Unobstructed access to the backyard and pool equipment is required for the provided leak detection day. 
   - Vinyl Liners are allotted 5 Vinyl Patches. Underground plumbing leaks are allotted one locate.

This service does not include any repairs.  If you are a home buyer and want this service performed before signing a contract you must have the sellers' written consent for CK Pools to conduct the Pool Inspection on their property.
